So I can't comment much on quality of service since we were there on a Monday at noon. The place had very few patrons, and the best gage of service is when its at peak hours. Our server was super nice and everything came out quickly. We got what we ordered. A grand Slam - for Denny's it was good. The place on the inside was very clean, the decor looked like a 50's diner. We left ready for the long (sad) drive home.

Really, what is wrong with us...Denny's?? while we are surrounded with local choices. Yea, we were recovering from a long night and needed to gain the weight that we had been loosing for the past few days, running around the island. I was expecting the worst when we pulled up, because the Denny's in the DC area are not the cleanest or most accommodating. But this Denny's was much different, it's small but very clean and ALL the employees are very nice! Our server was AJ, this guy took his job seriously! He had exceptional skills, and managed his section with the precision that you only see at very high end establishments...we would know. My wife was a waitress in one of DC finest places. AJ cheerfully took our order and had our food back out to us in record time, while frequently charging our drinks without asking. The food was hot and fresh and was one of the best meals I've ever had at Denny's. I had "Moons I've my hammy" and my wife had the "grand slam." That management team better find an incentive program to keep AJ. Skills like that could get him $70,000+ a year!

Possibly, the worst managed Denny's in continental U.S. Believe me, I visit this franchise all over the country. This is amateur hour. Never again .....!

We ate here a few times for breakfasts and really likes it compared to other places here. They have good grits too. Coffee is great, and it's kid friendly. Definetly recomend.

The egg skillet was delicious! Totally enough for two people to share! I stayed at the Wicker Guesthouse, which is a few yards away. Very convenient to roll out of bed and stagger into Denny's.

I ate here late last night had a omelet my mom had a quesadilla and my fiance had a philly cheese stake. It was by far the best Dennys I have ever had. The employees were so super nice.

Denny's always comes through in the clutch at 5 am. As usual, it's a great place to converse with total strangers. Our server (Tia?) was a saint for putting up with our drunk asses. My steak and egg white omelet with multi-grain toast came out to perfection thanks to her special care.

I love Denny's anywhere. It's sort of my comfort food for whenever I'm away from home and I don't feel adventurous with food. This is the first Denny's I have ever been at where they served alcohol (of course this IS the keys). The server was busy because it's a hotspot for Duval. He screwed my order up. I had ordered cheddar broccoli soup and a breakfast sandwich with cheddar cheese. Instead, I got chicken noodle soup and a breakfast sandwich with American cheese. These are minor mistakes. Nonetheless, I loved it here.

Service sucks! I found a piece of hair in my Belgian Waffle and instead of the manager coming by and apologizing or offering a discount or a free meal, he didn't say anything but prepared me another waffle. Even the waitress was pretty nonchalant about the hair on the waffle!! What gives!? I understand it's a Denny's but customer service is everything!

Ok so what could possibly go wrong with trusty Denny's? I mean it has breakfast all day long and they are open 24hrs. Well we decided to save some money after spending $100 on dinner each night for the past 4 nights. We walked in and we sat ourselves. Seemed relatively clean for a small Denny's on Duval St. I ordered the ham and bacon and egg breakfast sandwich with a side of hash browns for $4.00! Awesome price right? Well I remember finishing the sandwich and the last bite tasted "kinda funny". No big deal it was probably my imagination. Well 3 hrs later back at the hotel I started feeling nauseated. I thought maybe it was just me being tired from being in the sun all day. I hadn't had any alcoholic drinks all day or night so it wasn't that. I woke up and BAM! Found myself running to the bathroom. Head hung over the porcelain thrown and eggs and ham and bacon violently left my body via mouth. I hate to write this review as our server was very sweet. But if it keeps at least one person from the same night I've had then it's worth it. Proceed and eat with caution.

I'm Australian - we don't have Denney's but I'd heard it referenced in tv shows and movies. When I travelled in the US, a few visits to fast food outlets seemed like a bit of a "classic" American thing to do... diner-style seating, burgers, filtered coffee, iced tea, depressed-looking waitstaff in cheesy uniforms etc etc... Key West is pretty pricey... and if I'm honest, I was pretty much recovering from my Miami experience the whole time I was there (the Overseas Highway by bus with no sleep and a bad hangover is no fun... no fun at all...) so a cheap, carby, greasy, sugary fix was absolutely what the doctor ordered. The food was good... I couldn't fit it all in... and the menu had much more variety than I was expecting. I went with the burger and fries option... and for some reason chose unsweetened iced tea (a last minute decision to cut back on calories??) which was pretty bitter. Staff were friendly and the general "vibe" in the restaurant was nice and relaxed... I'm pretty happy whenever there's good music playing in the background. For an Aussie tourist, the experience felt "just like the movies"... kinda fun :)

At 3 something in the morning, my friends and I sorta kinda stumbled in here. That's what I've always liked about Denny's throughout the years - It's always open. Like good neighbor or designated driver -at any time of the night, Denny's is there to provide the same time-tested and true favorites such as the Grand Slam breakfast or Moons over my hammy. Of course they're always different where ever you go, and sometimes the service can be not-so-good. But this one? This one was pretty damn good. We were greeted and seated as we walked through the door. Our server (I forgot his good name) was terrific. I believe it was his birthday and he was working and serving our punk asses. He had a good attitude and was there for our every need. Making sure we had forks, napkins, condiments, and just being a great person. We had 5 guys and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Again our server checked on us with a fresh pot of coffee and to make sure we needed anything else. After our meal we staggered out much like the way we staggered in. Denny's really pulled through that night and they have my stamp of approval. EAT HERE. DO IT.

When you just want to pig out and get really great pancakes and meat this is the place to go. The coffee is made fresh and I love the hash browns. Our waiter was super helpful plus he is a local and offered right up some notable tourist attractions. When going to the island, Denny's is hard to beat. Don't outsmart yourself when looking for a good breakfast. Get the grand slam!

The food was great but to be honest it's hard not to have good food at Denny's. The service was fantastic. We went in the evening around 2am and there were several drunk people which was a hoot to watch but our server was from the Ukraine and amazing! Never needed anything because she took such great care. The definitely staffed very well because they never had lines and no one had to wait long for anything including food.

We got there after the lunch rush but before the dinner rush. Our server was very nice, she was only their for 2 months. Our food came in a reasonable time. I had ordered a chicken quesadilla which at the time was a new item for them. I enjoyed it. Our bill for four people came out to be about 60 dollars including tip. Compared to others places in Key west i thought this was the cheapest.

Typical Denny's restaurant... but they serve beer and mimosas!! Although I didn't take advantage, I believe they are also open 24 hours. Great location right on Duval Street.

The corporate officers at Denny's should model their other restaurants from the quality of food and atmosphere from this location. We don't normally go to Denny's but will give our local in Tampa a visit. The food, atmosphere and staff were awesome at this breakfast diner on Duval. We will revisit when we come back to Key West.

It's a Denny's. Don't expect gourmet dining here. First of all, Key West is not cheap. If you're visiting Key West and don't have to eat at fancy restaurants all the time, this is about the cheapest place on Duval Street for eating. The prices on the menu are what you would expect to see back home.

Star ratings are all relative. As for this Denny's, it earned these 5 stars. Came here at 2:30am, completely sloshed and needed a massive carb and protein injection to help stave off a next day hangover. Proud to say, Denny did the job, and did it right! Sometimes, when you visit a Denny's in a resort town, or urban area, the prices are more expensive than your small town ones, but this place had no price increases. I was out the door for less than $10 for a meal that was so massive, I couldn't finish it. Our server was very friendly (young chap about 20). Seemed to be happy with his life, which is a nice site compared to other employees at minimum wage jobs. Made sure to thank him with a well earned 40% tip. May go back again tonight to jam some quarters into their claw machine and test my luck...

I gave this restaurant 2 stars because of the eggs and sausage. Other than that be prepared to run to the bathroom after four bites of food. The service was horrible! DIANA B. was my server. The next table which was a party of six got their food before ours which was only a party of two. When the food came to use my eggs were a bit dry. The food was not steaming as the other table was which is pathetic and a waste of money! I have never been anywhere where they give you the bill on the table before you finish your food! Me(food in mouth) server(walks over) me(with another bite of food entering my mouth with it open) server(heres the bill I just wanted to give it to you) me thinking(okay and my food has only been on my table for five minutes!!!!!) Then she walks over to the party of six which had our food five minutes before us. So approximately they had their food for ten minutes and no bill was handed to their table. NOW I GUESS THE SERVICE WAS POOR BECAUSE I AM PUERTO RICAN. IF YOU ARE NOT WHITE I ADVICE YOU TO NEVER COME HERE EVER EVER!!! GO BACK TO YOUR HOME TOWN RUN AWAY FROM DENNY'S......... OR BEWARE

. This is not your five star $50.00 buffet they try to get you with at the resorts it's better. Save the money and eat here. The meal was good and the service was above average. Not very many people in their at 0730 in the morning

This is standard Denny's fare, which as far as I'm concerned, is quality. We came here on the last morning of our vacation, before venturing back to New York, for some pancakes. Here's a tip: if you're only going for pancakes and maybe bacon or toast, get the Grand Slam. You can double (or even triple, if you are so inclined) up on the pancakes (which makes 4) plus get bacon, toast, hashbrowns, or whatever other Grand Slam option you want for less than the price of the 3-pancake side order. I didn't have any problems with the service, it was a lazy morning (aren't they all in Florida?) and there weren't many people there. The bacon was well-seasoned and the pancakes really tasty, all at a very affordable price. It's a good option for a quality-guaranteed breakfast.
